Upon entering Dresden, follow signs for 'Altstadt' (Old Town). There is street parking available near the Zwinger, but it can be limited, so be prepared to walk a bit from your parking spot. Train and Tram
If you prefer public transportation, take a regional train to Dresden Hauptbahnhof (main train station). From there, exit the station and head to the tram stop located just outside. Board tram line 1 or 2 towards 'Dresden, Pirnaischer Platz'. After approximately 10 minutes, get off at 'Dresden, Zwinger'. The Zwinger is just a short walk from the tram stop. A single ticket costs about €2.50.
Bus
You can also take a bus to reach the Zwinger. From Dresden Hauptbahnhof, you can catch bus line 94 or 100. Board the bus and travel to 'Dresden, Zwinger' stop. The bus journey will take around 15 minutes, and the fare is the same as a tram ticket, approximately €2.50. Once you get off, the Zwinger is a short walk away.
Walking
If you are already in the Altstadt area, walking to the Zwinger can be a delightful experience. From the Frauenkirche (Church of Our Lady), it takes about 10 minutes on foot. Head northeast on Neumarkt towards the Elbe River, then turn left onto Ostra-Allee and continue until you reach the Zwinger.
