Car
From Spessart, take the A3 motorway towards Würzburg. Merge onto the A73 motorway at the interchange towards Bamberg. Continue on A73 until you reach exit 20-Bamberg-West. Follow signs for Bamberg and merge onto the B22 road. After entering Bamberg, follow signs to the city center. Parking is available at various parking garages around the old town, such as 'Parkhaus am Dom' (Domplatz 5, 96049 Bamberg), which is a short walk from the old town.
Public Transportation
From Spessart, take a regional train (RE) from the nearest train station, which may vary by your exact location in Spessart. You will typically transfer at either Aschaffenburg or Würzburg to catch a direct train to Bamberg. The journey takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Upon arrival at Bamberg Hauptbahnhof (main train station), take bus line 901 towards 'Bamberg, Bahnhof' and get off at 'Bamberg, ZOB'. From there, it's a short walk to the old town area, following signs towards Domplatz.
