Car
From Spessart, start by getting onto the A3 highway towards Munich. After about 30 km, take the exit towards A9/München-Nord. Continue on the A9 for about 40 km, then take the exit towards A99, following signs to Munich. After approximately 10 km, take the exit towards B2R/München-Zentrum. Follow B2R until you reach the city center of Munich. Look for signs directing you to Nymphenburg Palace (Schloss Nymphenburg), which is located at Schloß Nymphenburg 1, 80638 München. There is parking available near the palace, but expect to pay a parking fee of around €1.50 per hour.
Public Transportation
From Spessart, take a regional train (RE) from the nearest station to Munich Hauptbahnhof (Main Station). The journey takes approximately 1 hour. Once at Munich Hauptbahnhof, transfer to the U-Bahn (subway) line U7 towards Leuchtenbergring. Travel 4 stops and get off at the station 'Moosach'. From there, transfer to tram line 20 or 21 towards 'St. Emmeram'. Get off at the stop 'Schloss Nymphenburg', which is a short walk from the palace entrance at Schloß Nymphenburg 1, 80638 München. A single ticket for the train and tram costs about €2.90.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct and comfortable option, you can take a taxi from Spessart to Nymphenburg Palace. This option is ideal if you are traveling with a group or have a lot of luggage. The taxi ride will take approximately 40 minutes depending on traffic, and the fare may range from €60 to €80. Make sure to confirm the price with the driver before starting your journey.
