Car
If you are driving from the center of Spessart, take the B12 road towards Passau. Follow the signs for Passau until you reach the exit for B299. Continue on B299 until you see signs for Veste Oberhaus. The fortress is located at Oberhaus 125, 94034 Passau. There is parking available nearby, but be sure to check for any parking fees which can vary.
Public Transportation
To reach Veste Oberhaus using public transportation, take a train from Spessart to Passau. You can catch a train from the Spessart station to Passau Hauptbahnhof (main station). Upon arrival at Passau Hauptbahnhof, transfer to bus line 2 or 12, which goes towards Oberhaus. Get off at the Oberhaus stop. From there, it is a short walk up to the fortress. Walking
If you are already in Passau, you can walk to Veste Oberhaus from the city center. Head towards the river and follow the signs leading to the fortress.
