Walking/Public Transport
From Oberstaufen, take bus line 95 towards Steibis. Get off at the 'Oberstaufen, Buchenegger Wasserfälle' stop (Hochgratbahn). From there, follow the signs towards Buchenegg. The walk to the waterfalls is approximately 35-50 minutes, initially along the road and then descending on a steeper path through the forest. The bus fare is approximately €3-5. Alternatively, from Oberstaufen Bahnhof (train station), take the Ortsbus to Hündlebahn. From Hündlebahn, follow the signs; it's about a 55-minute walk along the road, followed by a 20-minute descent to the falls. Parking is available at Hündlebahn for free.
Driving
Driving directly to Buchenegg is not recommended due to very limited parking and narrow mountain roads. Instead, park at the Hündlebahn parking lot (free). From there, follow the signs towards Buchenegger Wasserfälle, which involves a walk of approximately 55 minutes along the road and a 20-minute descent on foot. Be aware that the final road section can be narrow and winding. Parking at Hündlebahn is free.
