Castra of Glashütten: Echoes of Roman Life
Reach new heights at the Aussichtsturm Großer Feldberg, offering panoramic views of the Taunus region and a glimpse into the area's rich history and natural beauty.
Ascend the Aussichtsturm (observation tower) atop Großer Feldberg, the highest peak in the Taunus mountains, for breathtaking panoramic views. This 40-meter-high tower, accessible via a staircase, offers a unique vantage point over the Main River plain, the rolling hills of the Taunus, and the scenic Usinger Land. The tower's history is as captivating as its views; originally built in 1902, it was reconstructed after being damaged in World War II. Today, it stands as a symbol of the region and a must-visit destination for nature enthusiasts and sightseers alike. Whether you're a hiker seeking a rewarding summit or a traveler eager to capture stunning landscapes, the Aussichtsturm promises an unforgettable experience. The adjacent Kiosk offers refreshments, making it a perfect spot to relax and soak in the beauty of the Taunus.
