Eppstein Castle is easily accessible by public transport. From Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof (Central Station), take the S2 train towards Niedernhausen. The journey to Eppstein Bahnhof (Eppstein Train Station) takes approximately 25-30 minutes. From Eppstein Bahnhof, it's a 15-20 minute uphill walk to the castle. Follow the signs towards the Altstadt (Old Town) and Burg (Castle). The walk involves a moderate incline. A single train fare from Frankfurt to Eppstein costs approximately €9-€14.

Driving
If driving, take the A3 motorway to the Wiesbaden/Niedernhausen exit (Exit 46). Follow the B455 towards Eppstein. Parking is available on the outskirts of the old town, near the train station. From there, follow the signs to the Altstadt and Burg. Parking is generally free, but it can be limited during peak season and events. Be aware that the roads leading to the castle are narrow and winding. Alternatively, there are parking options available at Burgstraße 4 and B455. These open-air parking options are available from Monday to Sunday, including public holidays, 00:00 - 24:00.

A taxi or ride-share from Eppstein Bahnhof to Eppstein Castle is possible, but the walk is manageable for most. A short taxi ride from the train station to the base of the castle hill would cost approximately €8-€12. From there, a short uphill walk is still required to reach the castle entrance.
