Walking
From the Idstein train station, the Altstadt is approximately a 15-20 minute walk. Follow the Bahnhofstraße towards the town center. You'll pass under the railway bridge and continue straight. After crossing the intersection with Wiesbadener Straße, continue straight onto Limburger Straße. Follow Limburger Straße until you reach the König-Adolf-Platz, the heart of the Altstadt. The walk is mostly flat and well-signposted.
Public Transport
From Idstein train station, several bus lines (e.g., 271, 272) will take you closer to the Altstadt. Get off at the 'Idstein Obergasse' stop. From there, it's a short 5-minute walk to König-Adolf-Platz. A single bus fare within Idstein costs approximately €2.50.
