The Killinger House - City Museum is centrally located on König-Adolf-Platz in Idstein's Old Town. From most points within the Altstadt (Old Town), it's easily reachable on foot within a 5-10 minute walk. Simply head towards the prominent König-Adolf-Platz, where the distinctive half-timbered Killinger House is located. Look for the building with the richest wood carvings; it's also home to the Tourist Information office.

If arriving by train at Idstein station, take bus line 1 or 2 from the bus stop directly outside the station towards the city center. Get off at the 'König-Adolf-Platz' stop. The museum is a short walk from the bus stop, located at König-Adolf-Platz 7. A single bus fare is approximately €2-3. Alternatively, consider using the EMIL on-demand shuttle service within Idstein. Download the EMIL app or call to book a ride to König-Adolf-Platz. Note that pre-registration may be required for phone bookings. In 2025, there is no Komfortaufschlag nor Arbeitspreis.

If driving, follow signs to Idstein's city center and König-Adolf-Platz. Parking is available in the Stadthalle underground parking garage or in the surrounding area. Note that the Löherplatz garage is closed for renovations until approximately August 2026. Parking fees in the Stadthalle garage are €1.00 for the first hour and €0.50 for each additional 30 minutes. A night tariff of €4.00 applies from 7 PM to 8 AM.
