From the Parkstein Marktplatz (town square), Burg Parkstein is a short, uphill walk. Head north on Kapuzinergasse. The path gradually ascends, passing historic buildings. Follow the signs for Burg Parkstein. The walk takes approximately 5-10 minutes. Note that the final ascent to the chapel involves some steps.

From Weiden, take the B299 towards Parkstein. Upon entering Parkstein, follow signs to the town center. Limited parking is available near the Marktplatz. For more convenient parking, especially during peak season, consider parking at the lot near the basalt wall (Basaltstraße). From there, it's a short, uphill walk (approx. 300 meters) to Burg Parkstein. Parking fees at the Basaltstraße lot are generally inexpensive, around €1-€2 for a few hours.

The nearest train station is Weiden (Oberpfalz). From Weiden, take bus line 12 or 15 to Parkstein. Get off at the Parkstein, Marktplatz stop. From there, follow the walking directions above. A single bus fare from Weiden to Parkstein costs approximately €3-€5.
