There is parking available near the castle, but be prepared for a short walk uphill to reach the entrance.

To reach Metternich Castle using public transportation, first take a train to the nearest major station, which is Cochem. From Cochem, take bus line 712 towards Beilstein. The bus will drop you off at the center of Beilstein. From there, follow the signposted walking trail that leads up to the castle. The walk will take approximately 20-30 minutes and involves a gradual incline.
