Public Transport
From central Heidelberg, make your way to the Heidelberg Hbf (train station). You can take tram line 5 from the Bismarckplatz tram stop in the city center. Board the tram heading towards 'Kaiserstraße' and travel for about 30 minutes. Get off at 'Karlsruhe, Marktplatz' stop. From there, it’s a 10-minute walk. Head south on Kaiserstraße, then turn right onto Erbprinzenstraße. Friedrichsplatz will be on your left.

If you are near Heidelberg Castle, you can enjoy a scenic walk. Start by heading down from the castle towards the Old Bridge. Cross the bridge and continue straight onto Hauptstraße, which will take you through the pedestrian area of Heidelberg. Continue walking on Hauptstraße for about 1.5 km until you reach Bismarckplatz. From Bismarckplatz, you can catch tram line 5 to 'Karlsruhe, Marktplatz' as described above.

For a more active route, consider renting a bicycle. Start from the city center and head towards the Neuenheimer Feld, following the bike path along the river Neckar. Continue along the designated bike paths towards Karlsruhe. The ride will take approximately 1 hour, and you can follow the signs for the bike route towards 'Karlsruhe.' Once you arrive in Karlsruhe, navigate towards Erbprinzenstraße to reach Friedrichsplatz.
