If you are in central Würzburg, head towards the Main River. From the Old Main Bridge, walk east along the riverbank until you reach the street called Fußgängerzone. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with Theaterstraße. Turn left onto Theaterstraße, and then take a right onto Grüner Weg. Follow this road until you arrive at the bus station, which is the main transportation hub in Würzburg. Here, you can catch a bus to Rothenburg ob der Tauber. Look for the bus number 112, which travels directly to Rothenburg. The journey takes about 1 hour.

From the Würzburg Hauptbahnhof (main train station), purchase a train ticket to Rothenburg ob der Tauber. Look for trains departing towards Ansbach, as many will stop at Rothenburg ob der Tauber. The train journey typically takes around 1 hour and 15 minutes. Once you arrive at Rothenburg ob der Tauber, exit the train station and walk straight down Bahnhofstraße. Continue walking until you reach Markt, where the Town Hall is located at Markt 1.

If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in Würzburg. Head out of the city center towards the Main River and follow the riverside bike path to the east. After approximately 24 kilometers, you will reach Rothenburg ob der Tauber. Make sure to have a map or GPS, as the route may have some turns.
