Car
If you're driving from Zugspitze, start by heading south on the B2 road towards Garmisch-Partenkirchen. After about 10-15 minutes, you will reach the town of Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Once in the town, follow signs for 'Partenkirchen' and look for the direction towards the 'Partnachklamm' (Partnach Gorge). Continue on this route until you reach the parking area near the gorge, where you can park your car. The entrance to the Partnachklamm is a short walk from the parking area, and the small waterfalls can be found along the trail within the gorge.
Public Transportation
To reach the small waterfalls using public transport, take the Zugspitzbahn (Zugspitze Railway) from the Garmisch-Partenkirchen train station. Board the train that heads towards the Zugspitze and get off at the 'Höllental' station. From there, you can either hike towards the Partnach Gorge or take a local bus that goes directly to the gorge entrance. Buses run frequently, and the ride will take about 10 minutes. Make sure to check the local bus schedule for exact timings. Entrance to the gorge requires a small fee, so be prepared for that cost.
Hiking
If you enjoy hiking, you can take an adventurous route from Zugspitze to the small waterfalls. Start from Zugspitze and hike down to the lower trails leading to Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Follow the marked trails towards Partnach Gorge. The hike can take around 2-3 hours, depending on your pace and the route you choose. The trails are well-marked, and you'll enjoy stunning views along the way. Once you arrive at Partnach Gorge, the small waterfalls are easily accessible within the gorge.
