If you're starting from the town of Goaso, take the N6 road heading southeast for about 30 kilometers until you reach the junction at Barekese. Follow the signs to Barekese Dam. There is no entry fee for visiting the dam, but ensure your vehicle is in good condition for the roads.
Public Transportation
If you prefer to use public transport, you can take a shared taxi or a bus from Goaso to Kumasi. Ask to be dropped off at Barekese. This should cost around 5 to 10 GHS depending on the distance and type of vehicle. Once you arrive in Barekese, you may need to negotiate with local drivers or use a motorcycle taxi (okada) to reach the dam directly, which could cost an additional 5 GHS.
