Taxi/Ride-Share
From Takoradi, the most direct way to reach Scorpion Hill Lodge is by taxi or ride-share. The journey typically takes around 30-45 minutes, depending on traffic. Taxis are readily available in Takoradi, especially near the main transport stations. Negotiate the fare before starting your journey; expect to pay between GH₵150-GH₵200. Inform the driver you are going to Scorpion Hill Lodge in Busua; most drivers will be familiar with the location. As you approach Busua, the lodge is located on a hillside overlooking the lagoon; the driver can drop you off near the entrance.
Public Transport
For a more budget-friendly option from Takoradi, take a 'tro-tro' (shared minibus) from the West End station or the Kwame Nkrumah Roundabout (Agip Roundabout) towards Agona Nkwanta. The fare is approximately GH₵5-GH₵10. From Agona Nkwanta, transfer to another tro-tro or a shared taxi heading to Busua; this leg costs around GH₵3-GH₵5. Once in Busua, Scorpion Hill Lodge is located on the hillside overlooking the lagoon. You can either walk from the Busua tro-tro station (approximately 10-15 minutes uphill) or hire a local taxi or 'Okada' (motorbike taxi) for the final short distance, costing around GH₵5-GH₵10.
