From Akosombo, head east on the main road towards the Somanya junction. Continue straight for about 15 kilometers. You will pass through the town of Akwamu. Keep an eye out for road signs directing you towards Somanya. Once you reach Somanya, look for the coordinates 33M3+2F6, which is the location of Krobo Hills. There is no parking directly at Krobo Hills, but you can park in Somanya and walk to the hiking area.
Public Transportation (Tro-Tro)
To reach Krobo Hills via public transport, go to the Akosombo tro-tro station and board a tro-tro heading to Somanya. The fare is typically around 2 GHS. The journey takes approximately 30-45 minutes depending on traffic. Once you arrive in Somanya, you can ask locals for directions to the hiking area at 33M3+2F6. It is a short walk from the tro-tro drop-off point.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle in Akosombo and head towards Somanya. The route is approximately 15 kilometers and mostly flat, making it suitable for cycling. Follow the same directions as if you were driving, keeping to the main road. Once in Somanya, navigate to Krobo Hills at the coordinates 33M3+2F6. Be cautious of traffic and ensure you wear a helmet for safety.
