Car

If you are traveling by car, start from the city of Sunyani, the capital of the Bono Region. Head southwest on the N12 road towards Berekum. After approximately 30 kilometers, you will reach Berekum. Continue on the N12 for another 20 kilometers until you reach the junction for the N6 road. Take the N6 road heading towards Butre. After about 15 kilometers, you will arrive in Butre. Once in Butre, follow the signs to Fort Batenstein, which is located at the coordinates 4.8242873, -1.9171859999999998.

Public Transportation

For those using public transportation, you can take a trotro (shared minibus) from Sunyani to Berekum. The trotro station in Sunyani is located near the Central Market. After arriving in Berekum, you will need to transfer to another trotro heading towards Butre. The fare from Sunyani to Berekum is generally around 5 GHS, and from Berekum to Butre, it should be about 3 GHS. Once you reach Butre, ask the driver or locals for directions to Fort Batenstein, which is located at R3FM+P48.

Taxi

Alternatively, you can hire a taxi from Sunyani directly to Fort Batenstein. This may be more expensive, costing approximately 100-150 GHS depending on negotiation and traffic.
