Depending on your starting point, you may need to navigate through local roads to reach the main highway. Once on the N6, drive towards Accra. The journey takes approximately 3-4 hours. As you approach Accra, look for the signs directing you to the Densu Delta Protected Area. You will need to take the exit towards the area, which will lead you onto Galilee Road. Follow Galilee Road until you reach the Densu Delta Protected Area. Ensure you have a map or a GPS-enabled device to assist with navigation, as some signs may not be very visible. Note that parking fees may apply at the entrance.
Public Transportation
To reach Densu Delta Protected Area using public transportation, start by taking a trotro (shared minibus) from your location to the nearest bus terminal heading to Accra (e.g., Goil Station in Sunyani). The fare is usually around 10-15 GHS. Upon arrival in Accra, transfer to another trotro heading towards Galilee Road. Inform the driver of your destination (Densu Delta Protected Area), and they will drop you off at the nearest point.
