Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving from Sunyani, take the N6 highway towards Techiman. After about 30 km, look for the sign directing you to Sayerano. Turn left onto the G642 road and continue for approximately 15 km. Once you reach Sayerano, follow the signs to Krokosue Forest Reserve. The reserve is located at G642+JRX, which is well-marked. Ensure your vehicle has a spare tire, as road conditions can vary.

  • Public Transportation

    From Sunyani, you can take a shared taxi or a bus heading towards Techiman. The fare should be around 5 GHS. Inform the driver that you want to get off at Sayerano. Once you arrive in Sayerano, you can either walk to the reserve, which is about 3 km away, or hire a local motorcycle taxi (known as 'okada') for approximately 10 GHS to take you directly to Krokosue Forest Reserve at G642+JRX.

  • Walking

    If you choose to walk from Sayerano to Krokosue Forest Reserve, head towards the northern part of the town. Follow the main road leading out of Sayerano and look for signs pointing to the reserve. The walk is approximately 3 km and should take about 45 minutes. It's advisable to wear comfortable shoes and carry water, as the path may be uneven.
