Car
If you are driving from any major town in Brong-Ahafo, head towards the main road leading to Sawla. From the center of Brong-Ahafo, take the N12 road towards Techiman. Continue on N12 for approximately 50 km until you reach the junction for the Sawla road. Turn left onto the road leading to Sawla. After about 30 km, you will reach the outskirts of Sawla. The Savla dam is located near the Usarangaon Devi Mandir, so keep an eye out for local signage. Once you reach the area, follow the signs towards the dam which is approximately 3 km from the main road.
Public Transportation
To reach Savla dam using public transportation, start by heading to the nearest bus station in Brong-Ahafo. Look for a bus or shared taxi heading towards Sawla. The fare is typically around GHS 10-15. The journey should take about 2 hours. Once you arrive in Sawla, ask locals for directions to Usarangaon Devi Mandir, as it is a well-known landmark. You can either walk (approximately 30 minutes) or hire a local taxi to take you to Savla dam, which may cost around GHS 5-10.
