Start at Cape Coast Castle. From the castle, head east along the coast on Castle Road. Continue walking for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the junction with Anomabo Road. Turn right onto Anomabo Road and continue walking for another 2 kilometers. You will pass through a small village; enjoy the local scenery. Keep an eye out for directional signs that lead to Fort William. After about 2 kilometers, you will see Fort William on your left, situated on a hill overlooking the coast.

Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Cape Coast. Begin your journey at Cape Coast Castle and head east along Castle Road for about 1.5 kilometers. At the junction with Anomabo Road, turn right. Continue on Anomabo Road for approximately 2 kilometers. Watch for any signs indicating Fort William as you approach. The fort will be on your left. This route is suitable for cyclists, with a few gentle slopes along the way.
