Getting There

    If you are traveling by car, start your journey from Ho, the capital of the Volta Region. Head northwest on the Ho-Agotime Road (also known as the N1 road) for approximately 30 kilometers until you reach the town of Afadjato. At Afadjato, look for signs directing you to Mount Afadja. The last portion of the drive will take you through a winding road that leads directly to the base of Mount Afadja. Ensure your vehicle is suitable for rough terrain, as the roads can be uneven. Parking is available at the base of the mountain.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach Mount Afadja using public transportation, take a trotro (shared minibus) from Ho to the town of Afadjato. The trotro will cost approximately 3-5 GHS (Ghanaian Cedi) per person. Once you arrive in Afadjato, you can either walk to the mountain's base (about a 30-minute hike) or hire a local taxi for about 10-15 GHS to take you directly to the base of Mount Afadja.
