Walking
From the center of Ho, make your way to the main market area. Head towards the Ho Polytechnic, which is a well-known landmark. Once you reach the Polytechnic, look for a path leading towards the Dzolokpuita area. You may ask locals for directions to Dzolokpuita, as they will be familiar. As you walk, enjoy the local scenery and vibrant atmosphere. Continue walking straight until you reach the outskirts of Dzolokpuita, which is approximately 5 kilometers from the Polytechnic. Look for signs or ask locals for further directions to the Akome waterfall, which is located at the coordinates RF56+2V (Dzolokpuita).
Bicycle
If you prefer to cycle, rent a bicycle from a local shop in Ho. Start from the city center and head towards Ho Polytechnic. Follow the same route as the walking guidance, cycling along the main road. The journey should take about 20-30 minutes depending on your pace. Once you reach Dzolokpuita, look for signs or inquire with locals about the Akome waterfall. The waterfall is located a short ride from the main area of Dzolokpuita.
Public Transport (Tro-Tro)
From the center of Ho, find a tro-tro station. Board a tro-tro heading towards Dzolokpuita. The fare is usually very affordable. Inform the driver or conductor that you are going to the Akome waterfall, and they will let you know where to disembark. The tro-tro ride will take approximately 15-25 minutes. Once you get off, follow the local paths towards the coordinates RF56+2V (Dzolokpuita) to reach the waterfall.
