Walking
From the center of Ho, head towards the Ho Market. Once at the market, locate the main road, which is the Ho-Accra Road (also known as the N1). Walk along this road heading west. You'll pass local shops and eateries. After about 15 minutes of walking, you will reach the junction that leads towards the main highway. Continue straight until you see signs for public transport heading towards Accra.
Public Transport
Take a shared taxi or 'trotro' (minibus) from the Ho main station to Accra. Make sure to inform the driver or the conductor that you are heading to Jamestown Lighthouse. The journey will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you arrive in Accra, ask to be dropped off at '600 Bruce Rd, Accra' as it is the closest location to the lighthouse.
Walking from Bus Stop
After being dropped off at 600 Bruce Rd, walk towards the coast. Head north on Bruce Rd, and follow it as it curves towards the waterfront. The Jamestown Lighthouse will be visible as you approach the coast. It’s a prominent landmark in the area, often surrounded by local vendors and beautiful ocean views.
