Car
From Keta, head north towards the main road (N1). Drive approximately 18 km until you reach the junction to Amedzofe. Turn left onto the road leading to Amedzofe. Continue for about 12 km until you reach the village. Once in Amedzofe, look for signs directing you to Mt. Gemi. The parking area is located at the base of the mountain, where you can leave your car safely.
Public Transportation (Tro-Tro)
From Keta, find the tro-tro station located near the town center. Board a tro-tro heading towards Amedzofe. The fare is typically around 2-3 GHS (Ghanaian Cedi). The journey will take approximately 30-45 minutes, depending on traffic. Once you arrive in Amedzofe, ask the driver to drop you near the base of Mt. Gemi. From there, you may need to walk a short distance to reach the entrance of the hiking path.
Walking
If you prefer, you can walk to Mt. Gemi from the center of Amedzofe. The trail starts at the village square. Follow the signs and local directions, as the path is well-marked. The hike to the summit is about 2-3 hours, depending on your pace. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water for the journey.
