Getting There

• Walking

  From the center of Koforidua, make your way to the main bus terminal. Look for the 'Trotro' (shared taxi) station, where you can find a trotro going to Aburi. The fare is typically affordable. Board the trotro and enjoy the scenic ride that takes about 30 to 40 minutes, depending on traffic. Once you arrive at the Aburi bus stop, disembark and head towards the main road. From there, you can either continue walking or hire a local taxi for a short ride to Hillside Gardens. If walking, follow the signs towards the Aburi Botanical Gardens; Hillside Gardens is located not far from there.

  Start at the Koforidua main market area, where you can easily find a trotro heading to Aburi. Ensure you get on one that is specifically labeled for Aburi. The ride will take you through beautiful landscapes, and you will be dropped off at the main Aburi station. Once there, ask locals for directions to Hillside Gardens, which is known for its picturesque views. It’s approximately a 15-20 minute walk from the trotro stop to the gardens.
