If you're driving from Krachi to Elmina Castle, start by heading southwest on the main road towards the town of Kintampo. After around 1.5 hours, you will reach the junction at Kintampo. Turn left onto the N12 highway and continue southward. Follow the N12 for approximately 2 hours until you reach the town of Elmina. As you approach Elmina, look for signs directing you to Elmina Castle, which is located at the address 3MM2+4R3, Elmina. Parking is available near the castle.

Public Transportation
To reach Elmina Castle via public transportation, start by taking a shared minibus (trotro) from Krachi to Kintampo. The journey will take about 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you arrive in Kintampo, transfer to another minibus heading towards Cape Coast. This leg of the trip will take approximately 2 to 2.5 hours. Upon reaching Cape Coast, you can catch another minibus or taxi to Elmina, which is about 15-20 minutes away. Ensure you have enough cash for all transportation costs, which may total around GHS 30-50 depending on the exact routes and transfers.
