If you're travelling by car from central Krachi, start by heading south on the main road towards the town of Dambai. Continue straight until you reach the junction to the Nkwanta-Awutu road. Take a left here, and follow the road for about 22 km until you reach the junction with the main Accra-Kumasi road. Turn right and continue towards Accra. Once you enter Accra, look for signs to the Central Business District. Ussher Fort is located at 33 Prof. Atta Mills High St, on the coast. Parking is available nearby, but be cautious about any parking fees which may apply.
Public Transportation
To reach Ussher Fort using public transportation, take a shared taxi or trotro (minibus) from Krachi to Accra. The fare usually ranges from 20 to 30 GHS. Upon arriving at the main bus station in Accra, find a trotro heading towards the Central Business District or directly to Ussher Fort. The fare for this leg will be approximately 3 GHS. Once you reach the Ussher Fort area, you may need to walk a short distance. Keep an eye out for signs, or ask locals for directions to 33 Prof. Atta Mills High St. Entrance fees to Ussher Fort are 10 GHS for Ghanaians and 50 GHS for non-Ghanaians.
