Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Krachi. Head east on the main road (N2) towards Amedzofe. Continue for approximately 15 km until you reach a fork in the road. At the fork, take the left turn towards Amedzofe. Follow this road for about 5 km until you see signs directing you to Mt. Gemi. You may need to park at a designated area near the base of the mountain and proceed on foot.
Public Transportation
To reach Mt. Gemi via public transportation, find a trotro (shared minibus) heading towards Amedzofe from the main trotro station in Krachi. The fare is usually around 3 to 5 GHS. Inform the driver of your destination and they will drop you off at the appropriate stop. From the drop-off point, you will need to walk approximately 2 km towards the base of Mt. Gemi. Look for local signs or ask locals for further directions if needed.
Walking
Once you reach the base of Mt. Gemi, you will need to hike to the summit. The trail is well-marked, but ensure you wear suitable hiking shoes. The hike can take around 1 to 2 hours depending on your fitness level. Bring water and snacks as there are no facilities on the mountain.
