Car
If you are driving from Kwahu, head towards the main highway (N6) that connects to Ho. Once you reach the junction for Mount Afadja, follow the signs leading to the mountain. The road may be a bit rough, so ensure your vehicle is suitable for such terrain. It is approximately a 30-minute drive from Kwahu to the base of Mount Afadja.
Public Transportation
For those using public transport, you can take a trotro from any major station in Kwahu heading towards Ho. Inform the driver that you wish to get off at the Mount Afadja junction. The fare is usually around GHS 5-10. Once you reach the junction, you may need to hire a taxi for the remaining 10-minute ride to the base of Mount Afadja, which can cost approximately GHS 15-20.
Walking
If you prefer to walk, after reaching the base of Mount Afadja, there are well-marked trails leading to the summit. Prepare for a hike of about 50 minutes, with a moderate difficulty level. Make sure to wear comfortable hiking shoes and carry water, as you will be climbing to the highest mountain in Ghana.
