Car
If you're driving from Akosombo, take the N2 road towards the north. Continue for about 30 km until you reach the junction at Asikuma. Turn left onto the road leading to Asiafo Amanfro. Follow the signs for Akaa Waterfalls. The road will take you through scenic countryside. After approximately 10 km, you will see a sign directing you to the waterfalls. Park your vehicle at the designated parking area. The waterfalls are a short hike from there.
Public Transportation
From Akosombo, take a shared taxi or a trotro heading to Ho. Inform the driver you want to get off at the Asiafo Amanfro junction. The fare is usually around 5 GHS. Once you reach the junction, you can either walk (approximately 10 km) to the waterfalls or negotiate a fare with a local taxi to take you directly to the parking area near the waterfalls.
Hiking
If you're up for a hike, once you park your vehicle or are dropped off by a taxi, follow the well-trodden path that leads to Akaa Waterfalls. The hike is approximately 1 km and takes about 20 minutes. Ensure you wear comfortable shoes and carry water, as the trail can be uneven and may require some climbing.
