Car
From Sefwi, head southeast on the main road towards Bibiani. Continue driving for approximately 30 km until you reach the junction at Bibiani. At the junction, take the left turn towards the Aboisso road and continue for about 40 km until you reach the town of Elmina. Follow the signs to Elmina Castle, which is located at 3MM2+4R3, Elmina.
Public Transportation
To reach Elmina Castle using public transportation, first take a shared taxi or trotro from Sefwi to Bibiani. The fare is approximately 5 GHS. Once in Bibiani, transfer to a trotro heading to Elmina; the fare will be around 15 GHS. The journey may take about 2-3 hours total, depending on waiting times and traffic. Once you arrive in Elmina, ask locals for directions to the castle, which is a short walk from the trotro station.
Walking
If you are arriving in Elmina by public transport, from the trotro station, head south on the main road. Walk for about 15 minutes, and you will see Elmina Castle on your left. It's a prominent landmark, so you shouldn't have trouble finding it.
