Walking
From the center of Sunyani, head east on the main road towards the Ghana National Fire Service. Continue straight until you reach the junction at the Post Office. Turn left at the junction and walk towards the Tanoboase area. Follow the road as it curves, and keep an eye out for local signage pointing towards the Tano Sacred Grove. It is approximately a 30-minute walk from the center of Sunyani. As you approach Tanoboase, you should see the entrance to the grove on your right.
Public Transport (Shared Taxi)
From the Sunyani Bus Terminal, take a shared taxi heading towards Tanoboase. The fare is usually around 2 to 3 GHS. Inform the driver that you want to get off at Tano Sacred Grove. The journey should take about 20 minutes. Once you arrive in Tanoboase, ask locals for directions to the grove if needed; it’s a short walk from where the taxi drops you off.
