Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from the Tamale Central Market, head north on the main road (Market Road) until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Nyohini Road. Continue walking straight for about 1.5 kilometers. You will pass by several shops and local eateries on your right and left. Keep an eye out for the large green sign that indicates you are entering the Sakasaka area. After approximately 15 minutes of walking, you will see the Ahmadiya Mosque on your left, just off the main road. The mosque is a prominent structure with a distinct architectural style, making it hard to miss.

• Bicycle

  Starting at the Tamale Central Market, rent a bicycle from one of the local bike rental shops. Leave the market area and head north along Market Road. Follow the same route as the walking instructions, but on your bicycle. Once you reach the roundabout, take the second exit onto Nyohini Road. Continue straight for about 1.5 kilometers, enjoying the sights of Tamale. After about 10 minutes of cycling, you will arrive at the Ahmadiya Mosque on your left. The ride should be leisurely and will allow you to take in the local atmosphere.

• Public Transport (Trotro)

  To reach the Ahmadiya Mosque using public transport, head to the nearest trotro station from your location. Board a trotro heading towards Sakasaka. Once you are on the trotro, inform the conductor that you are going to the Ahmadiya Mosque. The journey should take approximately 15-20 minutes. When you reach the Sakasaka area, ask the driver to drop you off near the mosque. You will find the Ahmadiya Mosque a short walk from where the trotro stops. It is a well-known landmark, so locals can also guide you if needed.
