Walking
If you are starting from the Tamale Central Market, head north on the main road (Nkrumah Road) for about 1.5 kilometers. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with the road leading to Sishiagu. Turn left onto this road and walk for about 1 kilometer. You will pass several local shops and stalls along the way. The Tamale Abattoir will be on your right side, marked by a large sign and a bustling activity around it.
Biking
From the Tamale Cultural Centre, rent a bike and head south on the main road (Kukuo Road) for about 2 kilometers. Turn right when you reach the intersection with the road leading to Sishiagu. Continue biking for another 1 kilometer. Look for the Tamale Abattoir on your left side; it will be hard to miss due to the activity. Make sure to lock your bike in a safe place nearby.
Public Transport
Take a shared taxi or trotro from the Tamale Central Market heading towards Sishiagu. Inform the driver you want to get off at Tamale Abattoir. The journey should take around 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic. Once you arrive, you will see the abattoir on your left, and you can walk the short distance to the entrance.
