Car
If you are driving from Ho, the capital of the Volta Region, take the Ho-Aflao Road (N1) for about 30 minutes until you reach the town of Afadjato. From Afadjato, turn left onto a smaller road leading towards Mount Afadja. Follow the signs for about 15 minutes until you reach the parking area near the base of Mount Afadja. Parking may cost around GHS 5, but confirm on arrival.
Public Transportation (Trotro)
To reach Mount Afadja using public transport, start by taking a trotro from Ho to Afadjato, which should cost around GHS 2-3. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Afadjato, you can either walk (approximately 30 minutes) or hire a local taxi for about GHS 10-15 to take you to the base of Mount Afadja.
Walking
If you prefer to walk from Afadjato to Mount Afadja, you will follow a well-marked trail. The walk will take about 30-45 minutes, depending on your pace. Ensure you wear comfortable shoes as the terrain can be uneven. Bring water and snacks for the hike up the mountain.
