Start at the Wa Central Market, a well-known landmark in the city. Head south on the main road (Kokomba Road) towards the Wa-Nadowli road. Continue straight for about 10 minutes until you reach the junction with the Wa-Navrongo road. Turn left and walk for another 15 minutes until you reach the outskirts of Wa. From there, follow the signs pointing towards the Ussher Fort. It is advisable to ask locals for directions, as they will be familiar with the path to the fort.

If you have access to a bicycle, start at the Wa Central Market. Ride south on Kokomba Road, then take a left onto Wa-Nadowli road.
