Car
To reach Mole National Park from Wala by car, head northwest on the main road out of Wala. Follow the road signs towards Damongo, which is approximately 90 kilometers away. The journey should take around 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on road conditions. Once you reach Damongo, continue on the road leading to the Mole National Park entrance. Look for signs indicating the park. There is an entrance fee of approximately GHS 20 per person, which you will need to pay at the park gate.
Public Transportation - Tro Tro
From Wala, locate the nearest Tro Tro station, where you can catch a Tro Tro heading to Damongo. The fare is usually around GHS 5 to GHS 10. The journey may take about 2 to 3 hours, depending on stops along the way. Once you arrive in Damongo, you can take another Tro Tro or a shared taxi to Mole National Park. Alternatively, you can hire a taxi directly from Damongo to the park, which may cost between GHS 50 to GHS 100 depending on negotiation.
Private Taxi
If you prefer a more comfortable option, consider hiring a private taxi from Wala to Mole National Park. This can be arranged through local taxi services. The cost will be higher, typically around GHS 150 to GHS 200, but it provides a direct and flexible route. The journey should still take about 1.5 to 2 hours, and you can discuss stops along the way with the driver.
