From the city center (Casemates Square), walking south along Main Street, then onto Europa Road and Naval Hospital Road takes approximately 30-40 minutes. Note the uphill climb. Several smaller shops and social clubs are within a 10-minute walk.

    The Gibraltar Bus Company operates several routes that serve the South District. Routes 3 and 4 stop near Admirals Place. From the city center, take either of these buses towards Europa Point and alight at a stop on Naval Hospital Road. The bus fare is £1.60 for a single ticket.

A taxi from the city center to Admirals Place will cost approximately £10-£15, depending on traffic and the specific route. This exclusive, gated community was developed in 2001 by Hopefield Property Ltd. on the site of the Old Naval Hospital. Originally built in the 1730s as a British Military Hospital, the site later became Military Married Quarters in the 1950s before being handed over to the Government of Gibraltar in the 1980s.The redevelopment of the Old Naval Hospital into Admirals Place was carried out with sensitivity to the site's historical and architectural features. The original roofs and facades were preserved, and the development earned a Gibraltar Heritage Award. Today, Admirals Place features a mix of refurbished colonial houses and newly built homes, set around landscaped gardens and communal green areas. Residents also enjoy access to a communal swimming pool.Admirals Place offers residents panoramic views of the Straits of Gibraltar, Spain, and Africa. It is located within walking distance of small shops, a pub, and social clubs. The city center, commercial district, restaurants, leisure center, hospital, and main supermarkets are a short drive away and readily accessible by bus.
