Over the years, the battery was updated with increasingly powerful artillery. Today, the Heritage Centre houses relics from the 18th century to the present day, including weapons, shells, and other artifacts.Visitors can explore exhibits detailing the lives of soldiers stationed in Gibraltar, viewing personal items, uniforms, and equipment. A highlight is the Memorial Chamber, honoring the regiments deployed to Gibraltar since the early 18th century, with displays of Royal Air Force and Royal Navy ensigns. From the top cable-car station, it's a 1.5km (30-minute) walk north (downhill) to Princess Caroline's Battery, where the Military Heritage Centre is located. Follow Willis's Road down towards the town.
Public Transport
From the Gibraltar Harbour area, take a bus towards the Military Heritage Centre. The closest bus stop is near Main Street. Bus fares typically range from £1.60 to £1.80 for a single journey. A day ticket (Hopper ticket) costs £6.00. Note that you can pay by card on all routes except the 5 and 10.
