    From the main square, Casemates Square, walk south along Main Street. Continue until you reach the roundabout at the end of Main Street and turn left onto Queensway Road. Follow Queensway Road, passing The Rock Hotel on your right. Continue uphill, following signs for the Upper Rock Nature Reserve and Princess Caroline's Battery. The walk is steep in places and takes approximately 30-45 minutes. Remember that access to Princess Caroline's Battery requires entry to the Upper Rock Nature Reserve.

    From the Gibraltar border or the city center, take a bus towards The Rock Hotel or the Upper Rock. Alight at the bus stop closest to The Rock Hotel on Queensway Road.
