The restaurant is family-run and decorated with memorabilia from the original Queen's Cinema, maintaining a connection to the past. The Queen's Cinema was purpose-built in 1913 and operated as a cinema until 1959. The Benatar family, with a long history in the cinema business, wanted to preserve the Queen's Cinema name, so they created The Queen's Picturehouse & Eatery. The restaurant offers a diverse menu, blending classic recipes with a modern twist. Guests can enjoy fine dining in the charming main area or opt for a special 'Cinema Menu' while watching a movie. Originally a beach where Moroccan settlers landed, it later became a military barracks and parade ground. Public executions were held here until 1864. In the 1990s, the square was transformed from a car park into a vibrant plaza with restaurants, cafes, and bars.
