Getting there

Car

If you are driving in Gibraltar Harbour, head towards the northern part of the harbour. Find Main Street and follow it until you reach the roundabout. Take the exit that leads to the border with Spain, staying on the main road. After approximately 1 km, you will see signs for Southport Gates on your right. There is limited parking available near the gates, so be prepared to park in designated areas.

Public Transportation (Bus)

You can take the Gibraltar Bus service from various points in Gibraltar Harbour. Look for Line 1 or Line 2, which both have stops near the historical sites. Board the bus and stay on until you reach the stop labeled 'Southport Gates'. The fare is typically around £1.50. Once you disembark, follow the signs to the gates, which will be a short walk from the bus stop.

Walking

If you are already in Gibraltar Harbour and prefer to walk, exit the harbour area towards Main Street. Continue straight until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, head towards the direction of the border with Spain. Walk approximately 1 km, and you will see Southport Gates on your right. The walk will take around 15-20 minutes, so wear comfortable shoes and stay hydrated.
