    Getting There

    Cable Car

    The most direct way to reach the Skywalk is via the Gibraltar Cable Car. From the city center, take a bus (Routes 2, 3, 4, 9, or 10) to the Cable Car base station near Alameda Gardens. A round-trip cable car ticket costs approximately £19 per adult. From the top station, it's a short, downhill walk to the Skywalk. Note that the Cable Car ticket doesn't include access to the Nature Reserve, which is required to visit the Skywalk; a separate Nature Reserve ticket costs around £13 per adult.

    Walking

    For those who enjoy hiking, it's possible to walk to the Skywalk from various points within the Upper Rock Nature Reserve. From the Nature Reserve entrance, follow the marked trails uphill. The walk to the Skywalk from the entrance takes approximately 20 minutes. Note that access to the Nature Reserve requires purchasing a ticket, approximately £13 per adult.

    Taxi

    Taxis are available throughout Gibraltar and can take you to the Upper Rock Nature Reserve. A taxi tour to the Skywalk and other attractions typically costs around £8 per person, plus an £8 entry fee per person for the Upper Rock attractions, with a minimum of 4 people. The total cost for a group of four would be approximately £64, covering transport and entry to the Nature Reserve.

    Local tips

    Purchase a Nature Reserve ticket for access to the Skywalk and other Upper Rock attractions.
    Arrive early in the morning or late afternoon for the best views and lighting for photos.
    Wear comfortable shoes for walking, as the Skywalk is accessed via a short walk from the Cable Car top station or other points within the Upper Rock Nature Reserve.

The glass flooring comprises four layers of tempered glass, each capable of supporting 600kg, ensuring safety while offering a thrilling perspective.From this vantage point, marvel at the stunning views of Gibraltar, the Mediterranean Sea, the Strait of Gibraltar, and the North African coast. Informative panels provide insights into the geology, flora, fauna, and history of the Rock. The Skywalk connects to other attractions within the Upper Rock Nature Reserve, including the Windsor Suspension Bridge and the Apes' Den, via walking trails.The Skywalk's inauguration was marked by a special ribbon-cutting ceremony in which Mark Hamill, known for his role as Luke Skywalker in Star Wars, used a lightsaber to open the attraction to the public.
