The Skywalk offers 360-degree panoramic views spanning three countries and two continents on a clear day.The platform is constructed with four layers of laminated glass, capable of withstanding wind speeds of over 150 km/hour and supporting the weight of 340 people. The glass floor provides an exhilarating perspective, allowing visitors to look straight down to the rocky cliffs below. Informative panels offer insights into the geology, flora, fauna, and history of the Rock.The Skywalk is accessible and provides a safe experience for all ages. From the top, you can see military relics dating back to the first years of British rule.     Getting There

    Cable Car

    The easiest way to reach the Skywalk is by taking the Cable Car from the base station near Alameda Gardens. A round-trip ticket costs approximately £19 for adults and £9.50 for children. From the top station, it's a short, downhill walk to the Skywalk. A Nature Reserve ticket is required to access the Skywalk, which can be purchased at the entrance. Consider purchasing a Hopper bus ticket for transport to the Cable Car base station.

    Walking

    For those who enjoy hiking, it's possible to walk to the Skywalk from the town center or other points on the Rock. Follow the marked trails uphill from the Upper Rock Nature Reserve. Be prepared for a steep climb and wear comfortable shoes. A Nature Reserve ticket is required to access the trails and the Skywalk. Note that the walk from the Upper Rock Nature Reserve is about 20 minutes.

    Public Transport

    Several bus routes connect the Gibraltar frontier and airport to the city center. From the city center, you can take a bus to the Cable Car. Routes 4 and 9 stop directly outside the Cable Car base station. Routes 2, 3, and 7 stop at Elliott's Way, a few meters from the Cable Car. A single bus fare costs around £2. From the Cable Car top station, it's a short walk to the Skywalk. A Nature Reserve ticket is required.
