Getting There

Walking
From Main Street, head south towards the Alameda Gardens. The Cable Car base station is located just beyond the gardens, off Red Sands Road. The walk is relatively short and well-signposted. Alternatively, from the Gibraltar-Spain border, follow the main road (A308) into Gibraltar. Continue straight until you reach the roundabout, then take the first exit onto Winston Churchill Avenue. Follow the signs for the Cable Car, which will lead you to Red Sands Road. The walk from the border takes approximately 30-40 minutes. Cost: Free.

From the Gibraltar-Spain border or the Gibraltar Cruise Terminal, take bus routes 5 or 10 to Boyd Street Terminus. From there, it's a short walk to the Cable Car base station. Alternatively, local buses 2, 3, 4, 9, 1 and 7 will drop you off within sight of the Cable Car base station. Just ask the bus driver to point you in the right direction.
