Walking
From the Gibraltar Harbour, walk towards the entrance of the Upper Rock Nature Reserve. The walk along the main road to the reserve takes approximately 30-40 minutes. The path can be steep in places, so wear comfortable shoes and stay hydrated.
Public Transport
From the Gibraltar Harbour area, take the number 2 bus towards the Upper Rock Nature Reserve. Get off at the stop nearest to the entrance of the reserve. From there, it is approximately a 15-minute uphill walk to Rock Gun Battery. Follow the signs for the battery along the path through the nature reserve. A single bus fare is approximately £2.20.
Taxi
Taxis are available from the airport terminal, the border crossing, and Grand Casemates Square. A taxi to the Upper Rock Nature Reserve entrance will cost approximately £20-£25. From there, it is approximately a 15-minute uphill walk to Rock Gun Battery.
