Turn onto Engineer Road and proceed to the Pillars of Hercules, where you'll find the entrance to the Mediterranean Steps opposite the ticket office. The walk from Casemates Square takes approximately 40 minutes. Note that access to the Mediterranean Steps requires a ticket to the Upper Rock Nature Reserve, costing £19 for adults.

    From Market Square, take bus number 2 towards Europa Point. Alight at the Garrison Gymnasium bus stop on Europa Road.
