Replacing a former parking lot, this green space offers a tranquil retreat from the busy city.The park's design blends British and Mediterranean styles, featuring ornamental planting beds, 143 trees, expansive grass areas, and water fountains. An artificial lake, bridge, sculptures, and a contemporary bandstand add to its charm. The park has become a versatile venue, hosting events like the Jazz Festival and outdoor cinema screenings.Located next to the King's Bastion Leisure Centre and nestled within the old city walls, Commonwealth Park provides a peaceful recreational area. Walking
Commonwealth Park is located at 16 Queensway Rd, easily accessible from many points in Gibraltar. From Casemates Square, head south along Main Street, turn left onto Cathedral Square, and continue past the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity. Cross two pedestrian crossings to reach Queensway Road and the park entrance. The walk is approximately 10-15 minutes. No costs are involved.

Take any bus heading towards the city center and get off at the Queensway bus stop. From the bus stop, walk towards Queensway Road; the park is a short 5-minute walk away at 16 Queensway Rd. Bus fares are typically around £2-£3 for a single journey.
